ALOHA

My full name is Leialoha but I prefer to go by Lei. Born and raised in Kailua on the island of Oahu, I’ve always felt a special connection to Hawaii. So many people dream of spending just a few days here and I’ve been so fortunate to have spent my entire life here. It truly is such a beautiful place and not a day goes by that I don’t appreciate all it has to offer.

Having an extensive knowledge of the island, I am able to confidently guide couples through planning their Hawaii wedding. Details don’t scare me and multi-tasking is something I pride myself on being great at. My brain likes to treat each event like a puzzle, and I strive to make each piece come together seamlessly. I love getting to know each couple’s personalities and building new relationships. Most of all, I believe that life’s celebrations should be memorable and special in every way possible.

MY STORY...

Simply put, I have a passion for helping people. My journey as an event planner began like many others but I like to think it was uniquely influenced by my best friend.

After graduating from the University of Hawaii at Manoa with a Bachelor’s degree in business marketing in 2005, I wasn’t fully convinced of which direction I wanted to go in. Known to be highly detailed and organized, I became the designated planner for my friend’s and family’s parties, showers and weddings. It was something I had fun doing and never really viewed as a career opportunity.

In September of 2006, I suddenly and devastatingly lost my best friend to cancer. We shared a common interest of giving back and I instantly knew that I wanted to organize a fundraiser in honor of her life and generous spirit. After a successful night of raising a few thousand dollars, many people told me that I should consider professional event planning. It was then that I felt my natural ability to plan and organize, coupled with my passion to help people, could be just the right path for me.

Over the course of the next 10 years, I gained experience volunteering to help organize large fundraisers, worked with florists and wedding planners, and also managed a catering and event planning company. In 2015 it was time for a change and I officially started my own business. I have had the pleasure of helping many amazing couples plan and execute their weddings over the years. It’s a truly rewarding and humbling experience!
